Katelyn's Tooth

A few weeks ago we were eating dinner when Katelyn started complaining about her tooth hurting. Knowing she had a cavity that needed fixed I told her to try chewing on the other side. She informed me that it hurt no matter what side she ate on so I decided to have a look. After she pointed out which one was bothering her I had a thought to give it a little wiggle, revealing that her tooth was loose. This surprised me because for some silly reason I had forgotten that at one point or another her baby teeth would start falling out. Katelyn was excited and I was nervous because I didn't know how to go about getting her tooth out. Ben piped in and said we should just leave it alone and let it work its coarse so we did. So tonight, three weeks later, I wanted to see how loose it was so I gave it a little tug but nothing happened so I left it alone. Later on Katelyn decided that she wanted to give it some tugs so I told her to go in the bathroom and use some toilet paper. Few seconds later I hear a little scream in the bathroom and then her running to show me her tooth. She was thrilled and proud that she had pulled it out herself. We quickly put it in a little container so it wouldn't get lost and now it is under her pillow awaiting the tooth fairy!
What Would I do Without Him?

This week has been a long and exhausting week. Monday everything was looking pretty good but as soon as Tuesday night rolled around I could tell I was getting sick. By Wednesday morning I was running a fever and my throat was sore and it felt like areas were swelling. I didn't think much of it because Ben and I for the last month or so have been experiencing soreness and swelling in our throats so I figured this was nothing new. However throughout Wednesday my fever never broke instead it continued to climb which left me with no energy and episodes of the chills. Thursday afternoon I finally got to the doctor and was informed that I had strep and was prescribed an antibiotic. I told the doctor that Ben was experiencing similar symptoms minus the fever, and he just laughed and said that we love birds were just passing it back and forth. Nice! So kissing then became off limits. It wasn't until Friday morning that my felt like endless fever finally broke and I could actually get up and do things here and there. In the mean time Ben was amazing (like always) :o). He didn't hesitate once to continually clean the house, cook the meals, tend to the girls, and get up with Jeffery every morning all while attending to me. Although I did feel really guilty that he was having to do all this by himself and then go to work until 11:30pm, my appreciation for him deepened and my love grew. I am so thankful Heavenly Father sent him my way because honestly, I don't know what I would do without him.
